When is the Right Time to Sell My Home?

This is a question I am often asked.

There is no right or wrong time to sell your home. Timing will depend on your individual circumstances and objectives.

You need to look in the mirror and ask yourself if your home is fulfilling your needs.

• Do you need more space for a home office?
• Are you looking for a bigger garden?
• Are you within close proximity to family and amenities?

A home is more than bricks and mortar. Every home has its own story and I understand that moving home is an emotional process. Lifestyle and the functionality of a home are more likely motivations than investment and profit.

However, if you are looking at it from a financial point of view. The facts are; there are a lot of cash buyers out there, savings have increased, there is high demand for property, supply is very low which gives your home a competitive advantage and thus is likely to achieve a higher price.

If you are selling a property, you’re probably buying one too. When the right property comes up, you will need to be financially prepared and ready to go. Preparing and selling your property takes time. Panic happens in situations where people don’t sell their property until they find a new one. Be prepared have your property sold before you find your next home.
