DNG Galvin’s Majella Galvin Honoured with National Award at Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI)  Surveying Excellence Awards 2023

Majella Galvin, a Chartered Surveyor, licensed estate agent, and registered valuer at DNG Galvin, was honoured with a prestigious national award for excellence in the property industry at the recent SCSI Surveying Excellence Awards 2023. This recognition underscores Majella’s unwavering professionalism, commitment, and leadership within the property profession, marking her as a gold standard expert in the property industry worldwide.

Majella’s distinction as a Chartered Member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) signifies the highest level of expertise, cementing her as a leading figure in the field. Her roots in the family estate agency business, established over 40 years ago by her late father Michael, have deeply influenced her career. Growing up within this environment, it’s been a privilege to have worked alongside her father, who served as her first mentor.

Reflecting on her journey, Majella shared, “Working in this industry has been an incredible journey for me. Each interaction, each transaction is a chance to make a positive impact on someone’s life. It’s a responsibility I take to heart.

As Chair of the SCSI Southern Region and Chair of SCSI Public and Membership Affairs, Majella is not only an advocate but a born leader for the property industry. Throughout her career, she has been recognised for her expertise in property sales, valuations, and lettings, achieving exceptional results for her clients and delivering innovative service to the public.

Passionate about nurturing supportive relationships with clients and educating the public about the buying and selling process to reduce complexity in property transactions, she has been instrumental in developing the DNG Property Advice Clinic for buyers and sellers, set to launch in Spring 2024. This initiative aims to provide a step-by-step guide for individuals involved in property transactions, breaking down complexities and empowering proactive decision-making.

Upon receiving the award, Majella expressed her gratitude, stating, “This recognition is truly unexpected, yet deeply appreciated. Upholding industry standards is paramount to me. I’m dedicated to ensuring all clients receive the highest level of service. By continually enhancing our skills as agents, we empower our clients to make informed decisions.”

The award ceremony, a highlight of the SCSI – Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland National Conference, held in December, at the iconic Croke Park in Dublin, gathered over 200 industry professionals. Majella’s recognition stands as a testament not only to her personal triumph but also to the dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence in service provided by DNG Galvin over the past four decades.
