Ho Ho Homes – Where it all began

A home is more than bricks and mortar, it’s your comfort place, your security. It can also reflect your lifestyle, interests, community & epitomises the area that you live in.

 For the past 40 years DNG Galvin have been helping buyers and sellers to find their perfect home. Being part of that special milestone is such a privilege which we don’t take for granted.

When COVID hit we were all forced to spend more time at home. This in turn changed people’s attitudes towards their home. It created a desire within people to make their home a special place. Many carried out renovations, revamped gardens and some revaluated their lifestyle and discovered their home was no longer suiting their needs.

How to make your home extra special at Christmas

Christmas 2020 was like no other, with us all confined to our homes.  So how could we make our homes extra special for Christmas. This was the theme behind DNG Galvin’s Ho Ho Homes series.  

We collaborated with local interior designer Maura Mackey to provide tips on how to decorate your home. See video here

Shop Local was also top of the list so we showcased a number of shops in Bandon who were selling home related gifts and products. These include Grey Heron, O Farrells, Warren Allen, Bandon Garden Centre and Easy living. See videos here

Save money and the environment this Christmas

Ho Ho Homes 2022 was centred around helping people to save money while also saving the environment. Maura Mackey Interior designer demonstrated how to reuse everyday household items and add simple greenery from your garden to create decorations. See video here. Will Santa know where you live if you moved home during the year?

Will Santa know where you live if you moved home during the year? Well Santa’s is very good at directions in fact his favourite subject in school was geography.  It’s safe to say he will find your new home.  However, Santa contacted DNG Galvin and asked us to show him a house which we recently sold in Bandon. He wanted to meet the four-year-old boy who lives there to find out where to put his Christmas presents. Santa comes to Bandon see video
